    Principal's Message

    Dear Families and Students,

It is that time of year when our students get to showcase their talents in academics. We are ready to begin our CAASPP Smarter Balance Assessments in English, Math and Next Generation Science Standards. CAASPP will measure our Junior Class in English, Mathematics and our seniors will be assessed over Next Generation Science Standards.  Our students have taken advantage of class time, PTSS Saturday School, and have also participated in full practice assessments for CAASPP. They are prepared and ready.

The dates for the Exams are:

    • April 8th-18th English Language Arts and Mathematics
    • April 15-18th NGSS Test

In May our heavy hitters are up for the Advanced Placement Exams. Our students began working for this assessment last summer. We will be administering over 1,000 exams which is amazing. They are excited and ready! The schedule for AP Exams:

AP Exam: The 2019 AP Exams will be administered over two weeks in May: May 6 through 10 and May 13 through 17.

Over the next few months our students and staff will be busy during this testing period. The results of these high stakes exams will be a big part of the California Dash Board. Rancho will continue to offer after school peer and teacher tutoring and PTSS Saturday School for added support. Our Library is also open until 3:30pm.

Rancho Cucamonga High School would also like to announce one of our most exciting District Wide events, the Cougar Relays!! Schools from across the District will participate in this event for students who have severe disabilities. It is a day that we never forget!

On April 25th, Rancho Cucamonga High Schools State Award Winning Rancho Remembers, will once again host over 300 Veterans. These amazing individuals will speak to our students and we will gain an understanding and appreciation of how these heroes have served our country.

Rancho has earned respect by setting high standards and on-going support to obtain maximum student achievement for every student. It is my honor to work with the tremendous students and staff that make Rancho great! Rancho is proud of its academic success and our expectations for all students are:

    • They will be empowered with knowledge
    • They will be  College and Career ready

We are proud of the fact that each year our students are accepted at some of the most prestigious colleges and universities in the nation.

I am looking forward to seeing you at our events and activities! Follow me on Twitter at @RCHS_Cougars for the latest news.  Stop by and say hello when you see me on campus.

    Thank You,

    Cary Willborn, Principal RCHS

guaranteed admissions agreement signed with cbu!

Mathew Holton, Superintendent, and California Baptist University Provost, Dr. Charles Sands, recently signed our newest admission agreement! All CJUHSD graduates who meet the mutually agreed upon admission requirements, will be able to enroll and attend this progressive university. One of the amazing highlights of this agreement is the commitment of CBU to provide a minimum of $8,000 per academic year in combined scholarships and grants to all our students! We are very excited to provide this opportunity for our students to attend this university in Riverside, California. This agreement, along with the previous agreements with Cal State San Bernardino, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Bakersfield, University of Redlands, University of La Verne, Azusa Pacific University, and Grand Canyon University continue to provide an advantage to the students of the Chaffey Joint Union High School District to pursue their dreams for the future!
