Am I Ready for the Future?

Dear Parents,

Rancho Cucamonga High School’s second semester is off and running! The transition has been smooth and students are geared up to finish the year strong! It is hard to believe but graduation is only four and a half months away! I look forward to having our graduation in our new stadium Wednesday May 18, 2016 at 6:30pm.

The second semester focus will be on high stakes testing as well as continued excellence in the classroom. We want our students prepared for any academic measurement they will take.  In order for our students to be successful, it is important that all students are in school daily. Students who are not in attendance miss out on valuable instruction. It is imperative that our staff have the opportunity to work with your students. Please do not hesitate to give us a call. It is our pleasure to be of assistance to you.

To support our students we continue to offer after school tutoring, PTSS Saturday School, and Freshman Pride Academy. We want our students to be successful and extending our day will allow them that added support. Students and parents should also take advantage of School Loop to contact teachers if you have concerns about his or her progress.

Rancho has earned respect by setting high standards and on-going support to obtain maximum student achievement for every student. Our expectations for all students are that they will be empowered with knowledge and are College and Career ready.

It is my honor to work with the tremendous students and staff that make Rancho great! Rancho is proud of its academic success and we are proud of the fact that each year our students are accepted at some of the most prestigious colleges and universities in the nation.

I am looking forward to seeing you at our events and activities! Follow me on Twitter at @RCHS_Cougars for the latest news.  Stop by and say hello when you see me on campus.

Thank you,

Cary Willborn
RCHS Principal

Perfect Attendance Car Giveaway

Achieve Perfect Attendance for a chance to win a new Chevy Cruze!

Hello Cougar parents and students,

To add to the fantastic start to the 2015-2016 school year, we are very excited to bring this information to all of our Cougar families—this school year, every RCHS student has a chance to win a new car! Courtesy of Mark Christopher Chevrolet, a brand new Chevy Cruze can go to one of our students if he or she can achieve perfect attendance this school year! Here are the details:

•    The “Cool to Stay in School” contest begins on August 17, 2015, and goes through May 4, 2016. It is open to students of all grade levels. All students who achieve perfect attendance for the 2015-2016 school year will have their names entered into a drawing for the brand new car!
•    Although there is only one car, Mark Christopher Chevrolet will also be drawing more names from the same perfect attendance group of students and giving away flat screen TV’s, laptops, Xbox’s, and many other outstanding prizes
•    Mark Christopher Chevrolet will also be holding monthly drawings where we will check for perfect attendance for the month and give away some awesome gifts. Last year, for example, Mark Christopher gave away Beats headphones and iPods for their monthly drawings. That’s awesome!
•    Rancho Cucamonga High School is in competition with Montclair High School for the first month and a half of the contest. The school with the highest percentage of students with perfect attendance between August 17th and September 30th will receive $1,000!
•    Official “Cool to Stay in School” rules and regulations can be accessed at http://www.markchristopher.com/Its-Cool-To-Stay-In-School-Contest.

Let’s do it Cougars, let’s set a record this year for perfect attendance and go after that brand new Chevy Cruze! And please be sure to stop by Mark Christopher Chevrolet and give them a huge thanks!
Best of luck Cougars!
