Rancho Cucamonga HS Celebrates Black History Month
Historical Black College Tour at Chaffey College
If you are interested in attending a Historically Black College AND you have at least a 2.7 GPA overall, you should attend this FREE tour at Chaffey College on Wednesday, February 3rd. from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Students will get information from 25 Historically Black Colleges and can be ADMITTED on the spot if you have your transcript! No application fees! If we have enough interest we will get a bus. Los Angeles Black College Expo At The LA Convention Center
Save the date, Saturday, February 6, 2016 the Black College Expo will be at the Los Angeles Convention Center. More than 50 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) will be on hand to connect with students and answer questions about their programs and the selection process. Not just for high school students, current college students can visit the career pavilion and check out job opportunities, internships, mentorships as well as studying & careers abroad.
Students will be able to:
- Get Accepted to a 4-Year College on the Spot
- Get Application Fees Waived
- Attend FAFSA Workshops
- Attend Seminars – 411 for the Student Athlete, Finding Money for College, Tips on Resume Writing, Interviewing Techniques, Dressing for Success & MORE!
Tickets are $8 with part of the proceeds going towards scholarships. The Expo runs from 9 am to 5 pm.
