Principal's Message

From the Desk of Dr. Kelsen

Dear Students, Families, and Community Members:

Rancho Cucamonga High School has existed for more than two decades for a primary purpose:  to be a superior school that ensures maximum achievement for all students.  We hope you will review the entirety of our website to learn more about the opportunities and resources offered to our nearly 3,400 students.

Students, we encourage you to get involved on campus.  Invest your talents in learning everything you can in each of your classes.  Find a sport, club, activity, or event to get involved with and challenge yourself to do your best at it.  Rancho offers something for everyone with over 35 clubs and a varied calendar of events.  Our staff is here to support and encourage you as you strive to achieve your goals and find dreams come true.

Families, we see you as our partners in educating students.  Join us as spectators or audience members at a games and events.  Participate in grade-level nights and other informative events created for you.  Stay in touch with your students’ teachers, counselor, and our administration through School Loop and by following me on Twitter at RCHS_Cougars.

Community members, we are fortunate to reside in one of the finest communities in Southern California.  We are proud to share the name of our city, and we recognize that our students are ambassadors of the city and surrounding area as they go on to attend college, join the military, or enter the workforce to lead productive, adult lives.

I am grateful to serve as principal of one of the finest schools around.  Please contact me if I can be of assistance to you.

Virginia E. Kelsen, Ph.D.
