About Rancho Cucamonga High School
To be a superior school that ensures maximum achievement for all students.
RCHS is currently participating in a self-study of our school to achieve an accreditation through WASC. WASC stands for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Earning the accreditation involves a process that all high schools go through to ensure that established educational standards, criteria, and the school's own stated objectives are being met. Our last visit was in fall 2005, earning us a 6 year accreditation. We will be visited and evaluated by a 5 to 8 member team of educators in October 2009.
The entire staff at RCHS is involved with writing the self-study document and looks at all aspects of our school including: our vision, our school's culture, test results, and overall student achievement. The process gives us the opportunity to celebrate our successes as well as identify areas for improvement. Rancho staff, students, and parents are involved in the self-study.
If you are interested in participating, please contact Norma Aguirre-Morrall or Elizabeth Engelke at RCHS.
